Kris Morriss eco-dyes cloth in Mapleton, bundling wind-fallen leaves, bark and flowers gathered on the Sunshine Coast against silk and merino wool, then steaming the parcels so the plants print their own colour into the fabric. No two come out alike. A former art teacher who took up the process recently, she makes scarves, dresses, wraps and pillowcases, sold from a main-street studio open Thursday to Sunday and at the Eumundi and Witta markets.
