At their Bunbury shop, Taffy's cooks salt water taffy in a copper kettle, pulls it until it turns soft and glossy, then runs it through a red 1920s wrapping machine that cuts and wraps each piece in wax paper. Strawberry, banana and passion fruit are the taffy flavours; the counter also carries Aunt Dorothy's peanut brittle, marshmallow fudge, honeycomb and a peanut butter sweet the locals call Tigereye. Open seven days, with the pulling and wrapping on show.
