Whistle Post Estate& Cellar Door

Four generations of sheep and cattle farmers turned vignerons, the Smibert family now tend 80 hectares across two Coonawarra sites — the VA Lane Vineyard, running alongside a disused railway track, and the McCrae Vineyard on the Riddoch Highway. The cellar door, opened in 2017, looks out over the vines. The whistle post still stands along the old tracks.
