A heritage-listed 1825 mansion on the Derwent at New Norfolk, restored as a boutique hotel in 2004 and now run by a single family. Pit-sawn Blackwood floors, Georgian windows, river views from every room. The owners scaled back from five-star with restaurant to a "room only" model with communal kitchenette as travel preferences shifted, and are honest about it. Ten minutes walk to The Agrarian Kitchen, twenty-five minutes drive to Hobart. Sleeps sixteen if booked exclusively.
