Sue Acheson fires her wheel-thrown ceramics and sculptures in a wood-fired catenary arch kiln she built herself, feeding it for 36 hours to reach 1300°c. Ash from her own property's timber settles into surface indentations; flame leaves its path on bare clay. The result is tableware and sculpture that changes appearance as the light shifts.
