Sayers Sister
Perth
Mark and Stephanie Sayers opened Sayers Sister at the Highgate end of Lake Street in August 2012, after selling Sayers in Leederville to its long-time staff. He runs the kitchen, she runs front of house. The coffee program is serious — they travel to origin, buy direct from farmers, and have planted their own trees in Bali. The room has a communal concrete bench down the middle that doubles as the service counter, a Stormie Mills mural, stained glass in the ceiling, and glass jars of lollies on the counter with the money going to charity. Open six-thirty to two-thirty seven days. Breakfast cocktails available if that's the kind of morning you're having.
