A London couple ignored a blunt warning from wine writer Robert Joseph, worked vintages in the Languedoc, studied in Margaret River, then bought a half-dead, blackberry-choked Huon Valley vineyard planted to six Pinot Noir clones on a sheltered north-east slope. The ambition — Tasmania's best Pinot Noir and Chardonnay — remains deliberately unresolved. That tension is exactly the point.
