Rynne Tanton Pottery

Rynne Tanton has been potting since the sixties — Teachers Training College in New Zealand, ceramics study in Melbourne, then decades teaching at tertiary level in Launceston. His Underwood studio, trading as Crickhollow Pottery, moves between functional ware and sculpture, with glaze-on-glaze decoration and macro-crystalline effects the technical signatures. A bronze foundry on site marks a recent turn toward cast work.
