Otway Eco Tours has been paddling Lake Elizabeth at dawn and dusk for twenty-five years, watching for one of the few wild platypus colonies in Victoria. Groups capped at seven. The lake sits at the end of a 1km walk through 150-year-old tree ferns. They stop tours mid-July to mid-September during breeding season to leave the animals alone. Meets at Forrest Brewing Company. Ninety-five percent sighting rate. Featured by Australian Geographic, Lonely Planet, and Ray Mears.
