Old Bishop's Quarters
Hobart City, TAS
Five accommodations spread across the grounds of Bishopscourt, an 1890s Sandy Bay heritage estate. Maud's Cottage sleeps two with an inglenook fireplace, copper bath, and a retractable verandah roof for stargazing — the bath can move outside if you want. The Old Housekeeper's takes four to six in the Georgian side of the main house, with views down the Derwent. The School House dates from the 1890s and was originally built for Bishop Montgomery's children. The Tutor's Apartment was designed by Hobart architects Circa-Morris Nunn in 2014. Monty's Hideaway is a glamping shipping container hidden in the gardens, also with a retractable roof for the southern sky.
