Mudgee's regional public gallery, run by Mid-Western Regional Council and open daily since 2021. For a country gallery its program reaches a long way: National Gallery of Australia loans of David Hockney and Clarice Beckett, the touring Archibald and Wynne prizes, Warhol and Lichtenstein, and contemporary Australians like Reg Mombassa and Guido Maestri. It runs its own MAP Portrait Prize and Young Archie, shows First Nations work including the Gora Singh Mann collection, and anchors a public sculpture trail.
