Jacquie Garcia throws stoneware on the wheel from a studio at The Creator Incubator in Hamilton North, Newcastle, developing her own glazes and colour combinations to a palette drawn from the local beach, lake and foliage. Trained at Sydney's National Art School, she has run Leiluca, named for her daughters Leila and Luca, since 2018, making functional and statement pieces from mugs and wine cups to vases and boxes.
