Shiv started Starter Stories in Stockton with half a jar of borrowed sourdough starter from a friend, baking German-style breads he couldn't find locally. The bakery is solar-powered, near the north boat ramp on Fullerton Street, and operates Thursday to Saturday only. Loaves are slow-fermented over 40–52 hours using wholewheat, rye and spelt flours. Most herbs come from his own backyard. Sprocket coffee at the counter. Low-gluten breads available on pre-order.
