South of Bathurst in the Central Ranges, this small family operation grows Shiraz and Cabernet Franc in cool-climate conditions that suit both varieties. The name came from a pub remark by a local called Bert, who questioned whether the new owners were really farmers. They weren't offended. The actual grass parrots visit regularly.
