Abla Amad opened this Elgin Street room in 1979, and it has served her Lebanese cooking ever since. The recipes trace to a circle of Lebanese women in mid-century Melbourne, among them her mother-in-law and the aunties she learnt from: kibbee, tabouleh, kafta, and the chicken and rice with spices and almonds she's known for. Dine-in only, evenings Monday to Saturday.
