Wildwood Designs builds solid Australian hardwood furniture to order from a showroom in Marrickville. Timber scouts source sustainable local hardwoods — stringybark, and others — which are then worked into beds, dining tables, buffets, bookcases and bedside tables. Ready-made pieces sit on the floor; everything else is quoted against a brief. The Inner West address doubles as workshop and retail, which keeps the gap between maker and buyer unusually short.
