Claire and Pete bought the Capertee Valley property in 2017 as a Sydney escape; it became their Covid home before opening to guests. Two glamping tents sit on 100 acres below sandstone escarpment walls that turn amber at dusk. The fire is where evenings are meant to end. A second property at Turondale — ridge-top, 4WD-access, 800 acres — runs wilder still.
