Gerard Woods came to winemaking via jackeroo work and Hawkesbury Agricultural College; his wife Jacqueline arrived from England via corporate Sydney. Together they took over Vale Creek in 2021, growing Sangiovese, Pinot Grigio, and Moscato on a cool-climate block 15 minutes south of Bathurst, with cattle on the adjoining grazing property. Italian varietals, rural NSW — the combination holds.
