An upstairs jazz and improvised-music room on Brunswick Street in Fitzroy, given over to what it calls the Melbourne sound — krusty, krunchy, streetwise. Music Wednesday to Saturday from the country's leading improvisers — Scott Tinkler and Stephen Magnusson among the regulars — plus touring internationals. A full Japanese menu comes to the table, bookings are by email, entry's cash at the door. Arts-funded, and it presses its own live records.
