Tilba Real Dairy
South Coast NSW, NSW
Erica and Nick Dibden bought the ABC Cheese Factory in Central Tilba in 2012 — a heritage building from 1891 that had been one of NSW's first farmer-owned cooperatives, acquired by Bega in the 1970s and emptied of local milk by the time the Dibdens took it on. Nick is a second-generation Tilba dairy farmer; Erica trained in France, Cornwall and Milan through a 2006 Dairy Australia scholarship. Jersey milk from their own farm and Salway Farm in Cobargo, made into bottled milk, yoghurt, cream and cheese on the original site.
