The Australian Chocolate Farm grows its own cocoa in the Shannonvale Valley, 15 minutes from Port Douglas, and makes award-winning single-origin chocolate from it, tree to bar rather than just bean to bar, on one of the few cocoa plantations in the country. Darryl and Jenny Kirk run guided tours through the plantation that follow the process from the tree, and a farm café for coffee, light lunches and tastings. The chocolate is sold from the on-site store.
