Paul Squires spent years in Rutherglen — Deputy Chair of Winemakers of Rutherglen, then Director at Buller Wines — before he and wife Bern planted their own stake on the Ovens River at Esmond. The solar array here tracks the sun across the day, powering irrigation, cellar door and house. Estate wines, an olive grove, and a garden that feeds the kitchen.
