Two kilometres south of Rutherglen, Scion does something its neighbours mostly don't: rethink the region's big guns. Durif gets stripped back, Muscat gets redirected, and the results — bottled in small batches under names like Poolside Dreams and After Dark — land closer to a wine bar than a heritage cellar door. The Age Good Food named it the region's best in 2024. The picnic tables help.
