Former corporate worker Sarah Schembri now runs a wheel-throwing studio and teaching space in Fitzroy, supplying handmade tableware to restaurants around Australia. Eight years in, the studio splits its time between production work for chefs and group classes for beginners. The Maltese-Australian maker studied at Ballarat University, and the functional, organic aesthetic of her work shows it.
