Jolene Rendell came to clay in 2018 after a decade in architectural design, and the influence shows. Her Margaret River studio specialises in sgraffito — a carving technique she's developed largely through self-directed trial — applied to functional ware, wall art, and a sculptural series of woodland creatures that won the Margaret River Art Prize in 2022. Workshops run locally; courses are available online.
