Rhino Room

Adelaide's longest-running room for stand-up and live music, going since 1997 and home to Adelaide Comedy. It was an early stage for Adam Hills and Hannah Gadsby, and one of the first rooms the Hilltop Hoods played. The first-floor space on Pirie Street runs comedy through the week and bands on weekends; the basement, Lowlife, takes the heavier, grungier end. When the original Frome Street building was demolished in 2017, crowdfunding moved it across town.
