Quaalup is the only accommodation inside Fitzgerald River National Park, on 40 acres of private bushland on the park's western edge near Bremer Bay. Karin and Carsten run it on solar power alone, no generators, with four two-person units, a two-bedroom chalet and a three-bedroom cabin, capped at 22 guests. The park draws botanists from around the world for its biodiversity, and the coast here gives some of the state's best land-based whale watching. Kangaroos and honey possums move through the bush around the verandas.
