A Cairns educator turned business owner spotted the gap — no decent yarn supply in the far north — and filled it. Edge Hill's Project Yarn stocks MoYa cotton, hand-dyed fibres, and Fiddlesticks Finch 100% cotton, alongside one-on-one crochet lessons covering everything from basics to Tunisian and overlay mosaic technique. The 3D-printed yarn holder, designed with local maker Raging Roosevelt, is a nice local touch.
