Porch Ceramics

Ryan Der and Sammy Smith came together through clay and cooking — one a ceramicist, the other a chef who spent years flipping restaurant plates to read the maker's mark. Their North Fremantle studio produces wheel-thrown tableware, lighting, and custom commercial pieces, and runs wheel and hand-building classes for groups up to 27. The work is functional, specific, and carries a visible sense of humour.
