The 1940 building was Paramount Pictures' Australian headquarters and distribution centre; the 1940s warehouse next door stored film. Russell Beard and Mark Dundon (Reuben Hills, Seven Seeds, Paramount Coffee Project) and property owner Ping Jin Ng turned them into a 29-room hotel, designed by Breathe Architecture, with Fox Johnston handling the earlier 2013 base-building restoration. Five room types — Nook, Everyday, Sunny, Loft, Mack Daddy — with Japanese timber baths in the larger ones. No street signage; you arrive via the atrium. Mini-bars run to Tom Shobbrook wines, Wildflower beer, LP's Quality Meats. Reception offers a drink before a credit card.
