New FarmBistro

Valerie Ferdinands was 65 when she opened New Farm Bistro in 2020, having reached the MKR Grand Final three years earlier. The bistro has since moved into Casa Italia on Gray Street — a community centre built for Italian migrant families — where the focus is family recipes, seasonal produce, and the kind of generous serves that made Valerie's cooking worth following in the first place.
