Mount Avoca

The Pyrenees foothills produce shiraz and tempranillo that rarely see the spotlight they deserve. Mount Avoca grows, makes and bottles everything on-site in Avoca — certified organic across both vineyard and winery — with a Lagrein and a blanc de blancs among the more interesting bottles. The cellar door is open seven days; accommodation, if the cockatoos let you sleep in, is four-star.
