Milton Vineyard

The sheep paddock that once ran Merinos now grows Pinot Noir and Syrah on dry, rocky free-draining soil — a shift that took until 2005 to reach bottle. This small family operation on Tasmania's East Coast also runs Pinot Gris, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, and Chardonnay, with Tempranillo newly in the ground. Winemaker Jacqui Dolan joined recently; the cellar door is open daily.
