In the shadow of the XXXX brewery at Milton, Jimmy Young runs Common Ground on a 600-litre system — small enough that beers sometimes pour straight from the brite tanks a few metres from the bar. Young co-founded Aether Brewing before splitting off to build this in 2019; head brewer Ben Lugg turns out a core range (the Commondeer IPA, the Green Back pale, the Sneaky Gingy ginger beer) plus frequent collaborations with other small breweries. The kitchen, cocktails and an upstairs gallery-and-function room fill out two levels. Spirits are distilled on site too.
