Mecca Coffee

Paul Geshos founded Mecca in 2005 — a former musician who'd seen what Portland was doing with coffee and set out to bring that kind of transparency to Sydney, making it one of the city's original specialty roasters. The Alexandria site is roastery, café and headquarters in one. The coffee runs to three house blends and a rotating Producer Series that names the grower behind each single-origin lot, from farms Mecca visits every year.
