A five-hundred-capacity live music venue in the Lion Arts Centre on the corner of Morphett Street and North Terrace, at the west end of Adelaide's CBD on Kaurna Country. The building started as the Fowler's flour mill in the 1900s — the lion is from the Fowler's Lion brand — and the basement room has been Adelaide's principal contemporary music venue under various names for nearly forty years, most recently as Fowler's Live before reopening in 2020 as Lion Arts Factory. The current operators are Five Four Entertainment — Craig Lock and Ross Osmon, who also book The Crown & Anchor and Laneway Festival — in partnership with Hugo Peddler (West Oak Hotel) and the Pearce brothers (Frame Creative). Thirteen-metre stage, a sound system adapted from Thebarton Theatre's PA, a downstairs Coopers Green Room with chesterfields, and the Den as a small private bar. Programming ranges from hardcore and punk through Triple J indie to international touring DJs. The venue holds its lease through Arts South Australia, which manages the Lion Arts precinct.
