David and Trudy Herbert planted Pinot Noir at Mount Gambier in 1996 and built their two-level mini winery and cellar door in 2006, overlooking the 1300-square-metre hedge maze that gives the label its logo. They make their wines from estate fruit, with Pinot Noir at the centre alongside a Blanc de Noir and barrel-numbered releases, and pour them straight from the barrel for small groups. The Wine Front and Halliday have followed the Pinots. By appointment, on Bishop Road.
