Duncan Harris — a mechanical engineer by training — bought this Baskerville block in 1998, planted the vines himself the next year, and runs the only certified organic winery and distillery in the Swan Valley, certified since 2006. The two hectares are dry-grown on rainfall alone; fruit is hand-picked and fermented in small batches on the vineyard's own wild yeast, basket-pressed, then aged in an underground cellar and hand-labelled. Shiraz, Malbec, Chenin Blanc, Verdelho and fortified Muscat and Pedro Ximenez, alongside brandy from the still. Seated tastings at the cellar door, no appointment on weekends.
