A deconsecrated Burleigh Heads church, the Infant Saviour, was saved from demolition and reassembled on Tamborine Mountain as Hampton Estate's centrepiece event venue. The old timber structure now hosts weddings and private functions, with the mountain hinterland — 30 minutes from the Gold Coast — doing most of the atmospheric work.
