A dozen-odd buildings frozen in the Western Australian goldfields: miners' cottages, Patroni's Guest House, Mazza's Store, single men's camps. Up the hill, the old mine manager's house is now a bed and breakfast; the headframe still stands. A steam engine called *Midland* — one of three that hauled timber to the Sons of Gwalia mine — anchors the outdoor exhibits. Admission is free.
