Thirty years ago, Jenny Guest saw a photograph of a dam ringed by gums, maples and conifers and told Peter she'd live in a shack for it. They've since built the rest: a parterre fountain garden, an oriental garden, a rose column walk of New Dawn and Iceberg varieties, bridges crossing a cascading creek, and a chess lawn with oversized pieces. The property is now open to guests.
