On Abbott Street in Cairns, molten glass is pulled and blown into reef-inspired figures every evening from 4:30pm. The glow-in-the-dark jellyfish are the obvious draw, but the live demonstrations — running nightly until 10:30pm — are the real reason to turn up. Coral trout, scuba divers, sea turtles: the tropical north rendered in hot glass while you watch.
