Kim Tyrer took over Galafrey at 25 after her father Ian's death, inheriting vines planted in the late 1970s that are only now hitting their stride. The dry-grown Mount Barker vineyard produces riesling, cabernet franc (nine rows, no oak additions), and one of Australia's few Müller-Thurgau plantings. The wines are lean and specific — built for the table, not the trophy shelf.
