The Seppelt family planted this 160-acre Adelaide Hills estate to Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier in 1984. It sits at the River Torrens headwaters, the region's most northerly vineyard, fed by a natural spring. Current owners work biodynamic and organic methods. The valley is genuinely quiet. The wines are ones they drink themselves — a useful policy.
