Helene Goethals grew up in Belgium and trained as a chocolatier in Brussels before setting up Choc & Moi on the Northern Beaches. The Dee Why shop sells her truffles and chocolates alongside coffee and hot chocolate, made with Cacao-Trace couverture, a program that pays farmers more for carefully fermented beans. Much of what she does is teaching: truffle-making classes, lollipop workshops for kids, and chocolate-and-coffee sessions for groups. Open seven days, with orders shipped nationwide.
