Capel Vale Wines& Cellar Door

Peter Pratten planted vines here in 1974, making Capel Vale one of Western Australia's earliest family wineries to work Geographe, Margaret River, and Mount Barker. The 1986 Riesling won Australian National Dry White Champion — a result that still anchors the estate's reputation. Native Mountain Ducks still wade the undisturbed Capel River banks beside the cellar door.
