A 1935 Art Deco cinema in Belgrave's Dandenong Ranges village, designed by Scarborough, Robertson & Love and built by Alex Jaensch — an industrial chemist who toured the Hills showing silent films in halls and tents before commissioning the cinema. Opened with MGM's David Copperfield. The original foot warmers in Cinema 1 are still in place. Now eight screens with an outdoor cinema operating December to March under deckchairs and bean bags. Restored and run since 2003 by Eddie Tamir's Moving Story Entertainment, alongside the Lido, Classic, and Ritz cinemas.
