The name is an Aboriginal word meaning "among the trees" — apt for a sub-two-hectare vineyard on the southern escarpment of the North Esk River outside Launceston. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Rosé and sparkling wines pour at the Sunday cellar door, where a larder stocks local cheese and deli meats for self-assembled picnics. Farm-stay cottages sit within the vines.
