Volunteer-run since before the building existed — the Autumn Art Exhibition dates to 1962 — this two-hall gallery on Mountbatten Avenue draws on 300 members, half of them practising artists. The $5,000 acquisitive prize anchors the autumn season; a grand piano, weekly choir rehearsals, and Tuesday morning workshops fill the rest of the calendar.
