Two centuries of ownership changes landed here: a 200-acre Southern Highlands property where a fifth-generation antiquarian bookseller named Leo Berkelouw planted roots in the 1970s, relocating his Sydney book business to what became the Berkelouw Book Barn. Today his successors Paul and Katja run the estate — wines, restaurant, accommodation, weddings — beneath the avenue of European trees Sir James Murdock planted in 1919.
